VE-Forum Newsletter November 2004

Welcome to our November Newsletter!

Dear VE-Forum User,

We would like to welcome you to the first VE-Forum.org monthly newsletter. With its many features from very different people, events and projects, it reflects the intention of VE-Forum to become an open forum of exchange and discussion. We are very pleased - also somewhat overwhelmed - by the growing interest in the forum. More than 200 users registered during the last four weeks alone, bringing the number to almost 650 - a good basis to launch VE-Forum officially at the upcoming eChallenges and IST conferences.

Please explore the dozen of public project and interest group areas and engage in discussion and collaboration with others - or you might already be a member of one of the almost 50 "invisible" collaboration spaces for proposals or project groups.

This first newsletter is sent to all registered users in order to make you aware of this new service. To customise whether you will receive the newsletter in the future, please log into VE-Forum and select in "MyDesk" the "MyAccount" menu item. Here you can also enter your profile, upload a photo and decide whether you want to be listed in the forum's "Who-is-who"-directory (To be found in the library section).

The next newsletter will come out in December. Simply submit your news or events items directly into the "News & Events" section of the forum (http://www.VE-Forum.org).  Please feel free to let us know your comments by sending an e-mail to newsletter@ve-forum.org.

We hope you will find this newsletter interesting and helpful.

Simona Barresi, Hermann Loeh and Bernhard Katzy
